I’ve been going to Indulge since it opened, and today marks my final visit. This has been a long time coming, but there is one particular man who works here who has made me decide to not come back. I unfortunately have gotten him quite frequently for the last few years, and there has never been a time I felt satisfied with my nails or walked out without being cut by him. Today when he approached me, I almost just left and I honestly should have. Once again, my cuticles were bleeding. He is very rough and never seems to put in good effort. All my nails were different lengths, different shapes, and he gets paint all over my fingers. If I’m paying for a manicure, I want it to look crisp and clean. Come time to pay, I did tip him but not super well since I felt he didn’t do a good job. He looked at the receipt and laughed. I walked out but honestly I wish I would have said something. If you’re expecting a good tip from me, then I think it’s fair of me to expect a professional manicure. I’ll be finding somewhere new.
My nails are pointing at an upward angle, they were for prom, which is tomorrow. I paid $85 for my nails and they look like this. I am definitely not happy. Two people got their nails done and we spent $200 altogether. I will definitely not be going back if the salon does not make this right
The $50 pedicure package was completely worth it! Gel is $15 extra but lasts. You get a great 10 min. Foot massage and hot stone rub at the end. The nail techs were so kind and did an excellent job. Everything was very clean, well organized and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. I will definitely be returning.
I want to preface with I have been going to this salon for about 5 years and am a licensed nail technician myself, I have always had PHENOMENAL service by Ariel. She never fails, and honestly if she leaves, I will as well and follow her. I’ve had one bad experience where my SNS broke two days in, and were severely mis-shaped and this was by the young gentleman who sits at the second chair from the door. I went back for a fill as my schedule allowed and dealt with the atrocity for three weeks; I requested to not have him to them again, because my luck he was in line for me when I walked in to take the next person. I had the other person fix the shape, repair the broken ones, and it was a solid fill and set. Fast forward to this past Sunday, I took my mom for a full set/fill/spa gel pedicures. I spent $285 with tip for the both of us. When he was to do her set, I said no- have Ariel do hers, and I’ll take him to do mine. Thinking, I want to treat my mom and have hers done right since she hasn’t had a full set in years, and reluctantly take him since no one else was available, offer myself as tribute one would say. He once again, made my nails completely sideways. He did not file underneath and smooth the rough edges, he did not listen when I asked to file down my open edges so moisture would not be trapped underneath and my hair wouldn’t get caught between my nail and my SNS, which today (2 days later IS HAPPENING) and I even said can you file it down? He did, twice, and made it worse. I was trying not to make it a bad time for my mom who was super excited- and said can you just put a clear coat over it then? And seal it? And he said “no”.. he was super rude, inexperienced, and has repeatedly messed up my nails. I would NOT have written this if it was one time, it has been 3 thinking back that he’s done either severely embarrassingly misshapen or crooked work- and every single time one or more break. Mind you, I am not rough on my nails by any means! I will moving forward, refuse for him to touch my nails! I paid $70 for nails that are going to retain liquid and possibly grow fungus underneath and he was not even concerned! A licensed nail technician would have realized this. I get you need your real nail under neath and he couldn’t completely file it away, but lifting sides of natural nail RIGHT when he’s done? Sheesh.. I will be going back for this to be fixed, but only ask for Ariel! Edited to update; the next morning the pointer finger broke.
